Sir Henry & Princess Chelsea

Baby Cat update: Henry most definitely is quite blind  though I assume he can see movement of shadows. Sophie said, Mama, let's get him one of those dogs for blind people and the dog can help Henry around. I saw it on tv. Henry needs one!

Not too sure what Henry would think of a dog companion, but here's to hoping. Henry sleeps quite well, purring himself to sleep.

Princess Chelsea needs to be rocked and loved to sleep as she is missing her Mama something fierce. Her eyes are opening a lot more now that the gunk is mostly gone. Not sure what colour her eyes are though I suspect they are dark blue like Henry's.

Feeding is so hit and miss. The vet nurse said getting young weaners onto wet food was important as it's highly enriched for health but also gets the poos going. I can't convince anyone the wet food is yum.  The boiled chicken is quite the thing when cold and wet but not warm or dry.

I'm thinking of going and buying a better bottle as I think ours is just not suited to Chelsea and Henry certainly can't latch. He's very good with the syringes, taking about 11 to 13ml each feed. He wants to be fed every 30 minutes, so I think the syringe in his mouth gives him something to chew on.

Chelsea will only take about 7 or 8ml and with her not eating wet food or dry food I'm starting to get really panicked.

Henry is an A++ little pan pee'r. He still hasn't pood. Chelsea peed in her overnight cage so at least she is going. She won't go on the paper around the box. I wonder what she'd think of a box of proper dirt, similar to what she'd have outside.

No one has pooped. So I might have to warm some baby wipes and go about stimulating their bottoms tonight.

I hope we can find something to get these kittens eating and/or drinking more.
